Lubna Safi's poems and essays have been published in Guernica, The Journal, MIZNA, and elsewhere. Her first poetry collection, Your Blue and the Quiet Lament (Texas Tech Univeristy Press 2022) won the Walt McDonald First Book Prize in Poetry and an Arab American Book Award Honorable Mention. She is currently at work on her second manuscript Cut Effect, which has recieved support from the Sewanee Writer's Conference, Community of Writers, and the UC Berkeley English department.
